August Vacation

Here are a couple of photos of the boys from our vacation to the U.S. Transplant Games in Madison, Wis. We also went to Chicago for a Cubs game and to St. Louis for Rams' football practice. More photos to come.

Cole's Hammers Win Season-Ending Tournament

On June 27 Cole's baseball team claimed a nine-team tournament. They won two games Saturday and then won three games Sunday, including a 20-7 victory in the final game against a team from Omaha, Neb., which had gone through the bracket undefeated. Cole pitched great during the tournament and his whole team hit the ball like they have never done before. Very fun and a great way to end the season (except for the regular season double-header coming up Tuesday).

Country Stampede

Mike and Lisa were able to attend the Country Stampede Music Festival in Manhattan Friday night. We saw Tracy Lawrence, Darius Rucker and Keith Urban perform. We were fortunate to be able to have VIP passes, which made the experience outstanding. We want to go again next year.

KU Camp Photos

Last week Brad and Cole were able to participate in some of the Kansas sports camps. Both played in the football and basketball camps. KU Athletics photographer Jeff Jacobsen was kind enough to snap a couple of shots of Cole playing in a special camp game in front of the whole group. Olympic Champion Billy Mills

On Thursday, June 10, native American and 1964 10,000-meter Olympic champion Billy Mills returned to Lawrence to talk at Haskell Indian Nation's University. We went to listen to him and he was great. Brad and Cole had the opportunity to get their picture taken with this legendary star.

Brad's Formal Dance

Brad had a formal dance on Monday and took his girlfriend Tiffany. We also were able to get a few photos of some of our ninth-grade neighbors, including Trey, Driskell, Shane and Chandler. Ain't they all so precious?
